In contrast to my productivity with TOO articles in years past, I sat on this photo essay for nearly a year, weighed down by two things. First, other worthy writers have aptly addressed this obvious trend — and being so obvious, it seemed unnecessary to repeat. Second, this is an unusually depressing reality with which we are facing, and Lord knows we on the Dissident Right have been producing copious amounts of depressing written and spoken words for decades, further demoralizing ourselves and giving succor to our racial enemies. Because I’m as guilty of that as any other writer, I was reluctant to continue in the same vein. In the end, however, I felt the mendacious narrative must be shown.

‘Calexit’: Yes California movement opens ‘embassy’ in Moscow

A campaign calling for the independence of California from the United States has opened an “embassy” in Moscow.

The movement, Yes California, is hoping for a “Calexit” break from the US. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Louis Marinelli, leader of the movement, said the embassy will not deal with diplomatic issues, but will act as more of a cultural center that will educate Russians about California's history, boost trade ties and promote tourism.

Once again, Moscow is winking at a long-shot breakaway movement in the U.S.

On a sunny late September day, a trio of tourists gathered on Moscow’s Red Square. Well-dressed, carrying a Russian flag, the visitors bunched in front of the Kremlin’s walls to snap a selfie. Like so many others before, the man taking the photo, Louis Marinelli, took to his Twitter account, and shared the shot for the world.

But Marinelli wasn’t your average American tourist, and neither were his friends. That weekend, Marinelli was ensconced in a conference room in the capital, where he delivered a speech for an unusual cause: the secession of California from the United States. “As not only a representative of the nation of California, but also as the founder and the leader of the independence movement as recognized by the state of California itself, it is my honor to speak on behalf of my people at this conference on the right of self-determination,” Marinelli told his audience. “Our campaign exists to explain why we should free ourselves from the shackles of statehood, and instead embrace the freedoms of nationhood.”

Marinelli, 30, was an unlikely messenger for the “Calexit” cause. He doesn’t live in California. He lives in Yekaterinburg—about 1,000 miles from Moscow—with his Russian wife. But it was not surprising that he had found a platform for his YesCalifornia movement in Moscow. Secession is a popular topic here—as long as it’s from someone else’s country. The Dialogue of Nations Conference, which attracted separatist-minded contingents from Ireland, Spain and Italy, was hosted by a man named Alexander Ionov, whose group had used money from the Kremlin to pay the travel expenses of one of Marinelli’s pals from Red Square: Nate Smith. Smith is one of the leaders of Texas Nationalist Movement that’s pushing to—you guessed it—break away from the United States.

Hundreds of fighters from the Russian republic of Chechnya have formed their own 'Death Battalion' to join the insurgency in east Ukraine.

The 300 or so volunteers say they are mostly former state security troops in the mainly Muslim region, where Moscow has fought two bloody wars since the fall of the Soviet Union.

In Baba Mezia, 86a, for a start, we learn that: “God intervenes in a Rabbinic dispute and is logically defeated by a Rabbi. God proclaims the Rabbi the victor in the debate.”
In Aboth 1.1 it is said that: “God gave the Oral [Rabbinic] Law to Moses at Mt. Sinai.”
In Gittin 60b we are told that: “God made the covenant with Israel only because of the Oral Law.”
In Baba Mezia 86a: “A dispute in heaven between God and a group of Rabbis is settled when a great Rabbi on earth votes for God.”
In Erubin 21b: “The commands of the Rabbis are more important than the commands of the Bible. Whoever disobeys the Rabbi deserves death, and will be punished in hell with boiling excrement.”

A few examples of the “great wisdom” from the Talmud will be of interest to most anyone unfamiliar with its sage advice:

Gittin 69a & b tells of: “...the medicinal value of dirt found in the shadow of an outhouse; also of the excrement of a white dog.”
In Moed Katan 18a we learn that: “Not burying cut fingernails causes miscarriages.”
In Gittin 69b there is given: “Rabbinic cures for anal worms; also of bladder stones. (For example, you hang a louse from the male membrum, then urinate on thorns.”)
In Moed Katan 17a we read: “If one is being overcome by his evil impulse, he should go to a town where he is delivered from his temptations..."
Abadah Zarah 3b tells us that: “God’s activities during the day, include studying the Law and playing with Leviathan.”

Blasphemous and mindless Talmudic interpretations of Scriptures abound. Here are a few examples:

Yebamoth 63a on Genesis 2:23: “Adam had sexual intercourse with all the animals in the Garden of Eden.”
Sanhedrin 76b on Exodus 21:12: “A man is not guilty of murder if he causes a poisonous snake to kill...a snake should be executed for murder, while the man goes free.”
Sanhedrin 59b on Genesis 1:28; “Fish used to be able to pull wagons.”
Erubin 18a on Psalm 139:5: “God made Adam with two faces.”
Berakuth 14a on Proverbs 19:23: “Going seven days without a dream proves that a person is evil.”

The greatness of Israel is a revealing and recurring theme in the Talmud. Notice these expressions on that theme:

In Sanhedrin 11:1 we learn that: “All Israelites are righteous, and will inherit eternal life.”
Baba Bathra 10b tells Rabbis that: “The deeds of Israel are righteous, but the Gentiles are capable only of sin.”
Kiddushin 49b declares that: “Israelites possess 90% of all wisdom. The other 10% is spread out among the Gentiles.”
Sanhedrin 58b: “A Gentile who strikes a Jew deserves death. Striking a Jew is in God’s eyes and assault on the Divine Presence.”
Sanhedrin 37a: “Whoever destroys a single Israelite, it is as though he had destroyed the entire world.”

A few specific examples of the Talmud’s teachings about Gentiles (i.e., cattle, animals) should open some eyes:

Yebamoth 98a: “All Gentile children are legally bastards, since Gentiles are only animals.”
Baba Mezia 114b: “Gentile girls are in a state of uncleanness from birth, and marriage with them is prohibited.”
Baba Bathra 54b: “Property of Gentiles is like the desert; whoever gets there first gets it."
Sanhedrin 57a: “If a Gentile robs a Jew, he must pay him back. But if a Jew robs a Gentile, the Jew may keep the loot. Likewise, if a Gentile kills a Jew, the Gentile is to be killed. But if a Jew kills a Gentile, the Jew is to go free.”
Baba Kamma 38a: “Gentiles are outside the legal protection of the Law of Israel.
Sanhedrin 52b: “Adultery is not forbidden...with the wife of a Gentile, because Moses only forbids adultery with a ‘neighbor’s wife’, and Gentiles are not neighbors.”

Let modern women who are led to combat sex-based discrimination turn their ire upon the Talmud. It is loaded! Indeed, here is a major fountain of the bitter gall women have been forced to drink throughout most of history. Jewish women especially should rise up against it in righteous fury:

Menahoth 43b: for example, teaches that: “A Jewish male should thank God for not making him a woman or a Gentile."
Baba Bathra 16b: “The birth of a girl is a sad occurrence.”
Aboth 1:5: “It is not good to talk to women, not even your own wife.”
Gittin 91a: “It is permissible to divorce your wife if she burns your dinner, or if you see a prettier girl.”

The Talmud’s teachings on sexual matters are especially revealing in light of the recent explosion of sexually explicit stuff on every hand which, as everyone knows, is growing kinkier by the day. Coupled with the universal admission of control of the pornography industry and all the media and entertainment backup required to promote it thru “education”, TV, movies, etc., the root cause comes into focus. Pedophilia and sodomy are Talmudic favorites:

Sanhedrin 55b: “It is permitted to have sexual intercourse with a girl three years and one day old.” (Sexual relations with three year olds are clearly permitted also in: Yebamoth 12a, 57b, 60b; Abodah Zarah 37a; and Kethuboth 39a.)
Yebamoth 59b: “Though the hire of a harlot may not be given to God, yet if the harlot is paid for bestiality [sex with an animal], her money may be accepted [by God].”
Sanhedrin 54b: “If a man commits sodomy with a boy less than nine years old, they are not guilty of sodomy.”
Sanhedrin 59b: “Sexual intercourse with a boy less than eight years old is not fornication.”
Kethoboth 11b: “Sexual intercourse with a girl less than three is nothing.”

Though other religions have many good things to say about Jesus, Talmudic Judaism radiates only the most intense hatred for Him. See if some of the following helps in understanding the Christian-bashing that is becoming a national and even universal sport (unless, of course, the Christians are major promoters of Israel, helping big bucks to flow there from government, military, and tourists !):

Israel-supporting Christians must snap out of their spiritual blindness toward everything “Jewish” and begin to absorb what Talmudic Judaism really thinks of them....:

A new report by a United Nations-sanctioned human rights group concluded that Russian forces have killed more civilians since entering the Syrian civil war than has the Islamic State.

"A remarkably important point that must be noted is that ISIS emerged in Syria" April 9, 2013, "while Russian forces entered Syria" Sept. 30, 2015, the Syrian Network for Human Rights wrote in a report dated Thursday.

The organization, which the United Nations considers a valid statistical source, concluded that Russia's bombing campaign has claimed at least 2,704 civilian lives while the Islamic State has murdered at least 2,686.

"These airstrikes have become the most lethal killer of Syrian civilians, accounting for two-thirds of all civilian deaths in July 2016," the advocacy group Save or Syria stated on Friday.

"The pace of Russia's killing of Syrian civilians is alarming," said the Syrian Network on Human Rights' Fadel Abdul Ghany. "Russia's attacks are wildly indiscriminate and disproportionately affect civilians. Collateral damage of this magnitude is a clear indicator that Russia isn't just accidentally hitting civilian objects, it is deliberately targeting civilians."

The Syrian Opposition HNC, which represents rebel groups fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces again called on the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State coalition to enforce a no-fly zone.

It also called on the international community to sanction Moscow, which the group says has committed war crimes.

The organization, which the United Nations considers a valid statistical source, concluded that Russia's bombing campaign has claimed at least 2,704 civilian lives while the Islamic State has murdered at least 2,686.

"These airstrikes have become the most lethal killer of Syrian civilians, accounting for two-thirds of all civilian deaths in July 2016," the advocacy group Save or Syria stated on Friday.

"The pace of Russia's killing of Syrian civilians is alarming," said the Syrian Network on Human Rights' Fadel Abdul Ghany. "Russia's attacks are wildly indiscriminate and disproportionately affect civilians. Collateral damage of this magnitude is a clear indicator that Russia isn't just accidentally hitting civilian objects, it is deliberately targeting civilians."

The Syrian Opposition HNC, which represents rebel groups fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces again called on the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State coalition to enforce a no-fly zone.

It also called on the international community to sanction Moscow, which the group says has committed war crimes.

Porn is a $100 billion per year industry, and here's who controls it [1]: The peddlers of pornography belong to all races, but one race above all stands out as preeminent in this field. Selling sex, like slave trafficking and money lending, has always been a Jewish specialty.

Jewish academic historian Dr Nathan Abrams (pictured in article), perhaps the world’s most renowned authority on the Jewish role in pornography, let the cat out of the bag a few years ago in his controversial essay, Triple-Exthnics. [2]

Published in the prestigious Jewish Quarterly in 2004, this essay spelled out in detail how the world’s multi-billion dollar porn industry was dominated by Jews.

Dr Abrams not only admits that Jews are the world’s most successful pornographers, he celebrates the fact. Jews, he tells us, have a grudge against Christianity, an “atavistic hatred of Christian authority” rooted in centuries of humiliation, and pornography is one of the ways in which they get their revenge on their Christian persecutors — the hateful oppressors who expelled them from 109 countries since the year 250 AD, always without justification. So it’s now payback time.

Jewish involvement in pornography [Dr Abrams notes candidly] has a long history in the United States. Though Jews make up only two per cent of the American population, they have been prominent in pornography.

According to one anonymous industry insider quoted by E. Michael Jones in the magazine Culture Wars (May 2003), “the leading male performers through the 1980s came from secular Jewish upbringings and the females from Roman Catholic day schools”.

The standard porn scenario became as a result a Jewish fantasy of schtupping the Catholic shiksa [non-Jewish female].

Jewish involvement in the X-rated industry can be seen as a proverbial two fingers to the entire WASP establishment in America.

Jewish involvement in porn, Dr Abrams believes, “is the result of an atavistic hatred of Christian authority: they are trying to weaken the dominant culture in America by moral subversion.” [4]

Al Goldstein (pictured), the publisher of Screw magazine, had once said — and Dr Abrams is happy to quote him: “The only reason that Jews are in pornography is that we think that CHRIST SUCKS.”

Dr Abrams’ indulgent attitude to porn is a little surprising. Here is a man who actually believes that Jewish domination of the porn industry is a stunning achievement. Jews get gold stars for masturbation promotion.

ADL National Director, Abraham H. Foxman, agrees with the “liberal” idea that pornography is a good thing — if not for the countless victims of porn addiction, at least for Jews who grow rich on exploiting those addicts. “Those Jews who enter the pornography industry,” Foxman notes with approval, “have done so as individuals pursuing the American dream.” [5]

Dr Abrams, the sober Jewish academic, now ups the ante by adding a sinister touch to the controversy. “Jews are the driving force behind the modern pornographic industry,” he tells us smugly, “and their motivation is, in part, to destroy gentile morals.” [6]

To destroy gentile morals.

Note that phrase well. It amounts to an open declaration of war. For why should Jews wish to “destroy gentile morals” unless they hated the gentiles — in this case, Christians — and wanted to destroy our most cherished values?

There is no law to prevent this Jewish comedienne (pictured opposite) from uttering blasphemous obscenities against Jesus Christ and giving offense to 2.1 billion Christians by her infamous comment, “I hope the Jews did kill Christ! I’d fucking do it again — in a second!”

Just imagine an equally well-known Christian comedian coming out with a similar insult against the victims of the Holocaust: “I hope the Nazis DID kill 6 million Jews! I’d fucking do it again — in a second!”
Such a grossly offensive comment would be unthinkable. The comic who made it would be ostracized at once and never allowed to work again in the entertainment business.

And yet the Jew today, in the person of Sarah Silverman, is perfectly free to spit in the Christian’s face and is even applauded for this hate speech. The Christian can do nothing about it. He has become a slave in his own country — an object of ridicule and contempt.

2. How Jews Dominate the American Porn Industry
It comes as no surprise to learn that Jews dominate the production and distribution of pornography. If you want to learn more about these luminaries of lust and see what they look like, here is an excellent starting point.

In a now defunct article entitled Jews in Porn, parts of which have been published on Henry Makow’s site, Luke Ford notes:

Used to hatred from society, Jews will do its dirty work – such as money-lending in the Middle Ages or porn today – for the opportunity to make money.

Persecuted for millennia in the various societies they’ve lived in, many Jews developed an allegiance to their own survival as their highest value and care little about the survival of the persecuting society.

Even when Jews live in a society that welcomes them instead of harassing them, many Jews hate the majority culture.

Neither rooted in their own tradition or in that of the majority Christian tradition, they live in a community of rebels.

Because of Judaism’s emphasis on education and verbal dexterity, Jews dominate academia, entertainment and media generally. Porn flows out of this culture over which Jews exert an influence disproportionate to their 2% proportion of the American population. [7]

Robert J. Stoller, M.D. in his 1991 book, Porn: Myths for the Twentieth Century, sought to understand the mentality of the people involved in the hard core pornography business. While interviewing some of the actors and actresses in California, he was told, “If you’re welcomed into the porn scene, it’s unbelievable. It’s an extended family…. So many Jewish people involved with it.” [8]

Today, most porn movies and porn videos in America are produced by Jews in the San Fernando Valley (pictured) in Southern California. This is located just north of Los Angeles in a sprawl of seedy suburbs known to locals as “Porn Valley” or “the Other Hollywood”.

Here Jews are the kingpins of the sex industry and own every single major studio. Chief among these is Vivid Entertainment [9], reportedly the largest porn production company in the world.

This is owned by Jewish multi-billionaire Steven Hirsch, sometimes known as the “Porn King”. Vivid generates an estimated $100 million a year in revenue, cranking out 60 films per year and selling them in video stores, hotel rooms, on cable systems and on the Internet. [10]

“Sex is a powerful thing,” Hirsch notes complacently. “This is the right time for us!” [11]

Another billionaire Jewish porn mogul, Paul Fishbein, founder of Adult Video News (AVN), is also headquartered in Porn Valley, California. Fishbein’s business associates, Irving Slifkin, Barry Rosenblatt, and Eli Cross are all fabulously rich Jews. [12]

So make no mistake: Porn Valley, California, is a Jewish enclave, as Jewish as Tel Aviv or Brooklyn.

3. The Jewish Role in Child Pornography
According to the British charity, National Children’s Homes, 55 percent of the world’s child porn in made in America. [13]

It would be astonishing to learn that Jews were not in the forefront of this sordid enterprise also, given that they dominate the porn industry as a whole. [14]

Pedophilia is a worldwide phenomenon, but it is an undeniable fact that the large number of Jews who practice it appear to do so with a certain impunity. Roman Polanski, after he had drugged and raped an unconscious nymphette, got off the hook lightly. All he had to do was buy a one-way ticket to Paris, France. Nothing was done to bring him to justice.

In July 2000, Brazilian police tried to arrest the Israeli vice-consul in Rio de Janeirio, Arie Scher. He was wanted on suspicion of running a child porn ring from the Israeli embassy. Vast quantities of pornographic material had been found on his computer. What happened to Scher? Nothing. Claiming diplomatic immunity, he hopped on a plane to Tel Aviv and that was the last that was heard of him. [15]

Another Jewish pedophile too important to receive serious punishment for his crimes was the son of the famous science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. Found in possession of the hugest cache of child pornography in California, a federal crime normally carrying a 20-year sentence, David Asimov was to receive a slap on the wrist: six months home detention.

How is it he got off so lightly? “A look at the players yields the answer,” a sensational news report reads. “Asimov’s child porn stash was so big that many child victims and perpetrators would have taken a fall had Asimov been zealously prosecuted at trial.” [16]

There is one law for the Jews, it seems, and another for us lesser mortals.

4. Jewish Gang involved in Child Murder and Snuff Pornography
If 55 percent of the world’s child pornography is produced in the US — according to the British charity National Children’s Homes — 23 percent of the world’s child porn is produced in Russia. [17]

Whether or not Russian child porn is dominated by Russian Jews remains a nebulous issue. There is a high probability that it is, given that there is more than enough solid evidence of Russian Jewish involvement in sex trafficking, kidnapping, pedophilia, and even child murder in the production of snuff porn movies.

Here is a news report first published in October 2000. It will give the reader some idea of the depths of depravity to which some pornographers are willing to sink:

JEWISH GANGSTERS RAPED, KILLED CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS TWO ON FILM: Rome, Italy — Italian and Russian police, working together, broke up a ring of Jewish gangsters who had been involved in the manufacture of child rape and snuff pornography.

Three Russian Jews and eight Italian Jews were arrested after police discovered they had been kidnapping non-Jewish children between the ages of two and five years old from Russian orphanages, raping the children, and then murdering them on film.

Mostly non-Jewish customers, including 1700 nationwide, 600 in Italy, and an unknown number in the United States, paid as much as $20,000 per film to watch little children being raped and murdered.

Jewish officials in a major Italian news agency tried to cover the story up, but were circumvented by Italian news reporters, who broadcast scenes from the films live at prime time on Italian television to more than 11 million Italian viewers. Jewish officials then fired the executives responsible, claiming they were spreading “blood libel.”

Though AP and Reuters both ran stories on the episode, US media conglomerates refused to carry the story on television news, saying that it would prejudice Americans against Jews. [18]

According to the Talmud, 3-year-old girls like this are fair game for sex with adults (Sanhedrin 54b). Killing them is permissible too. “The best of the gentiles deserves to be killed,” the revered Rabbi ben Yohai states authoritatively in the Talmud. [19]

5. Mass Enslavement through Sex
It is a tragedy that the Jews should have been allowed to deploy pornography to such good effect that they have succeeded in enslaving entire nations, as Circe with a touch of her magic wand enslaved the Greeks, turning men into swine: an apt metaphor for what lies ahead for the masses under their new masters.

“A really efficient totalitarian state,” Aldous Huxley once noted, “would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.” [20]

Organized Jewry seems to have no moral scruples about profiting from the sale of pornography. They show no concern about the proven fact that highly addictive and dangerous erototoxins are released into the brain after contact with pornography and can cause progressive brain damage. [21]

Nor do these pornocentric Jews have any qualms of conscience in regard to the wholesale corruption of families, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, or show the slightest concern about the tragic descent of children into the hell of compulsive masturbation and porn addiction — a subject I have covered in detail in a soon-to-be-published article.

These sex entrepreneurs, intent on easy profits, have eagerly sought to provide the masses with the cheapest and deadliest of tranquilizers: opportunities for endless orgasms, by way of a ceaseless flow of pornographic images in the mass media they control.

This is one way to achieve world domination without the need for revolutionary violence or military conquest: to take entire countries and turn them into giant masturbatoria.

The model citizens of the future will be happy masturbators. This enthralling activity will keep them occupied throughout the day. It will make them docile and complacent, sated and semi-somnolent, like drugged dung flies in a cesspool or swilling latrine. They will be too busy debauching themselves to mount revolutions or plan revenge attacks against the shadowy elite who have been the architects of their slavery.

These are not the worldchangers and wizards of the future of whom Nietzsche said, “Behold, I show you the Superman!” Because of their degeneracies, their weaknesses, they are destined for the dustbin of history.

Here is what Brother Nathanael Kapner has to say on this subject. It is a neat summation. The fact that Kapner is Jewish makes his words even more compelling:

“The degradation of Western Christian social life did not merely happen, it was planned, deliberately fostered and spread, as outlined by The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. This systematic undermining of the culture of the West continues today.

The instruments of this assault on Christian culture and consciousness are the weapons of propaganda: the press, television, cinema, and education. The chief fount of the propaganda is the cinema.

From his capital in Hollywood, the Jew spews out an endless series of perverted films to debase and degenerate the youth of America and the Western world. Divorce replaces marriage, abortion replaces birth, and the family becomes the battleground of individual strife. The Jew has attained his goal in destroying Western culture.” [22]

I am afraid I cannot agree with Kapner’s sweeping conclusion that the Jews are entirely to blame for the decline and fall of Western culture. If the West has gone to hell in a handbasket, the goyim are as much to blame. Their enthusiastic complicity with their own corrupters has been their undoing.

The society we get is the society we deserve.

There is little doubt that the virulent sex epidemic we witness all around us is a deliberately planned sex psyop. This is what governments want.

The Puppet Masters who pull the hidden strings of our Western regimes, all masquerading as democracies, have managed to manufacture exactly what we see when we look around us: widespread neurosis, mass misery, the collapse of moral values, Christianity in ruins, and the coarse brutalization of the common man.

No need for gulags for those who consent to their own chains.

It's time for Jews to be kicked out of their 110th country; it is the only way we can direct our own societies with the best interest of our people in mind.

Since 55 percent of the world’s child porn is produced in the US (see above), and since 90 percent of US porn is produced by Jews in the San Fernando Valley, California, it follows that Jews dominate the child porn industry in America.

In addition, if 23 percent of the world’s child porn is produced in Russia, it is more than likely that Russian Jews are behind this sleazy industry in view of the well-known involvement of the Judeo-Russian mafia in sex trafficking, sex slavery, prostitution and pornography in general.

This would make the Jews the predominant purveyors of child pornography in the world — a remarkable achievement for a race who make up no more than 0.2 percent of the world’s population.

Head of separatist Sparta Battalion says he shot prisoners following the battle for Donetsk airport, prompting war crimes investigation by Ukrainian government.

A Russian fighter has confessed on tape to killing 15 Ukrainian prisoners of war, which legal experts say could be considered evidence of war crimes if the authenticity of the recording is confirmed.

The statement was made by Arseniy Pavlov, better known as Motorola, in a telephone conversation with a journalist on 3 April.

Motorola, the head of the pro-Russian militant group the Sparta Battalion, was asked about allegations that he had murdered Ukrainian prisoner of war Ihor Branovytsky in January.

He replied: “I don’t give a fuck about what I am accused of, believe it or not. I shot 15 prisoners dead. No comment. I kill if I want to. I don’t if I don’t.”

The recording will form part of an investigation into the torture and murder of Branovytsky by Kremlin backed-insurgents, said Vasil Vovk, the head of the Ukrainian security service’s main investigative department, at the soldier’s funeral.

A case has been opened under the country’s crimes against humanity legislation and may be sent to the Hague-based International Criminal Court, he said.

Vovk confirmed that Motorola was a suspect in the Branovytsky case and might be tried in absentia.

Amnesty International said this week it had evidence the separatist forces had carried out extrajudicial killings, and added that Motorola’s comments needed to be investigated thoroughly.

Denis Krivosheev, Europe and Central Asia Deputy Director at the organisation, said: “The new evidence of these summary killings confirms what we have suspected for a long time. The question now is: what are the separatist leaders going to do about it?

“The torture, ill-treatment and killing of captured, surrendered or wounded soldiers are war crimes. These claims must be promptly, thoroughly and impartially investigated, and the perpetrators prosecuted.”

Motorola, 32, a Russian citizen, previously fought against Islamist insurgents in Chechnya and worked as a blue-collar worker and a lifeguard. He become known in July last year after staging a “separatist wedding” in Donetsk.

The Sparta Battalion played a significant role in the takeover of Donetsk airportby Kremlin-backed militants in January, where Branovytsky is reported to have fought. He was later taken prisoner and killed.

That the soldier was captured alive has been allegedly verified by two YouTube videos filmed after the fall of the airport. One is thought to show him standing in the ruins of the airport terminal, and another reportedly shows him in a line-up of prisoners asked to say their names to the camera.

At the soldier’s memorial service, Anatoly Svyryd, a sergeant from the same force, said that both he and Branovytsky had been taken prisoner by the Russian-backed Sparta Battalion. Svyryd claims he was taken to a hospital in Donetsk, while about 12 prisoners, including Branovytsky, were transferred to the barracks of the Sparta Battalion in the city.

Another charge against Motorola and his battalion is of the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war, banned under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Yury Sova, a fighter of the 80th paratrooper brigade, said he and other prisoners had been attacked by Motorola’s men for extended periods.

“We were beaten for six to seven hours,” he said. He claims to have been transported to the battalion’s barracks alongside Branovytsky, and says he witnessed the killing. “He was beaten brutally, and a lot of his bones were broken.”

The original recording of the conversation with Motorola could potentially be used as evidence in court, said Valentyna Telychenko, a prominent human rightslawyer. “Subsequently there must be an analysis of his voice and the authenticity of the digital media,” she said.

However, there are obstacles to transferring the cases against Motorola and others to the International Criminal Court in the Hague. So far, Ukraine has not ratified the Rome Statute, which recognises the court’s jurisdiction in specific countries.

Ukraine’s supreme court did pass a resolution on 4 February recognising the court’s jurisdiction, however the president has not yet formally sent the resolution to the Hague.

Meanwhile, Vyacheslav Abroskin, head of Donetsk Oblast’s police department,published the names of 40 Sparta Battalion fighters on 5 April on Facebook.

“The country must know its ‘heroes’ by name,” he said. “They have the blood of our compatriots on their hands.”

“I am Jewish,” he told the crowd. “My family has lived here in Germany for 700 years, and I can tell you that I see here no Nazis.”

In a short and passionate speech that quickly went viral on the Internet among Germans tortured by the brainwashing since birth that they drowned six million Jews in buckets or gassed them in invisible gas chambers none of which were ever described in any document or ever found, Ahituv, an Israeli immigrant to Germany, spoke about the threat of a Muslim takeover of Europe and declared that Germany’s Jews stand with Pegida, the populist right-wing movement that had organized the January 26 demonstration in Frankfurt.

But of course the Jew plays both sides and the middle, Josef Schuster, chairman of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, has condemned Pegida as an “immensely dangerous” movement that consists of neo-Nazis, parties from the far right and citizens who think that they can finally let out their racism and xenophobia.” Simply untrue because ‘Neo-Nazis’ are NO feature of Pegida and are not welcome to come anywhere near their demonstrations, demonstrations which like the EDL achieve nothing but to let off stream and target the wrong enemy, support the real enemy, and change nothing.

Lutz Bachmann the leader of PEGIDA said:
"Germany is not a land of immigration. Integration does not mean living side by side, it means living together under JEWISH-christian merits of our constitution and our German culture with its christian-JEWISH roots determined by christianity, humanism and enlightenment.

Putin worked as a KGB officer in Dresden during the 1980s. Experts, like the Dresden political scientist Christian Demuth, haven't ruled out the fact that many people at the PEGIDA demonstrations had specific roles in the East German regime, in the Stasi or the Socialist Unity Party (SED).

The Dresden anti-Islam demonstrations have included slogans decrying Chancellor Merkel’s sharp attitude countering the aggressive machinations of Russian president Vladimir Putin in Ukraine and other former Communist countries, now independent.

Thousands of demonstrators, who mostly refused to talk to the “lying press,” listened to fiery speeches railing against the country’s political class. Among the German flags present, I also spotted a few Russian ones, including a banner that was split diagonally, one half Russia’s tricolor, the other half Germany’s. A reporter and cameraman from the Gazprom-owned NTV channel were greeted with welcoming calls of “Vladimir! Vladimir!”

Based on a serious evidence, it would have been easy enough to weave together a theory that the Kremlin is behind the demonstrations that were initiated by a secretive organizing committee in October and swelled to a record 25,000 participants on Monday. After all, President Vladimir Putin served as a KGB agent in what was then an East German city in the 1980s (suspicious!) and one of PEGIDA’s key demands is an end to Germany’s “war-mongering” against Russia (bingo!).

While the Pegida movement is still small, ominous pro-Russian cries of “Putin, hilf uns!” (Putin, help us!) at the rally demonstrate how easily Kremlin can manipulate populist European “dissent” parties and create a more fractured Europe. Come on—it’s not like he hasn’t done this before.

This past spring, former NPD chairman Udo Voigt traveled to St. Petersburg to participate in a meeting of European right-wing radicals. He praised Putin's policies and spoke out against the Western sanctions. Experts estimate that roughly one-fifth of PEGIDA demonstrators come from the Kremlin-controlled NPD.

PEGIDA-founder Lutz Bachmann also met with the members of the Night Wolves, a motorcycle gang with close ties to the Kremlin.

He accompanied the bikers to a wreath-laying in a Russian soldiers' cemetery in the northwestern Saxon town of Torgau. Posing behind a PEGIDA banner, he and the group had their picture taken.

More than anybody, Putin has a high regard among PEGIDA followers. Bachmann has worn a T-shirt bearing Putin's portrait to a demonstration, and it's common to hear calls like "Ship Merkel off to Siberia and Putin to Berlin" or "Help us, Putin."

The purpose of the Kremlin-controlled organizations like French Front National or German PEGIDA and NPD is to help Kremlin regain it’s former power in Europe. For that purpose Putin needs weak and divided European structures and these puppet organizations will help to achieve that goal.

Sergey Aleksashenko wants everyone to stop calling Russia weak. He contends that Russia is actually stronger than many people believe to include U.S. President Barack Obama and British military historian Lawrence Freedman among other prominent voices. But Russia is weak and Russian President Vladimir Putin is even weaker. Aleksashenko misunderstands Russian strength because he makes three critical errors. First, he assumes that strength and weakness are static and so fails to look at trends. Second, by focusing on the weakest of Russia’s neighbors, he fails to notice that most Eastern European states are not intimidated by Russia. Finally, he wrongly believes that Russia’s strengths can be effectively used by Putin to maintain his grip on power.

First, strength and weakness are dynamic—that is, they change over time. In spite of Russia’s current displays of military strength in Ukraine, the former superpower is steadily and irreversibly weakening. As Aleksashenko knows—better than most officials in Moscow, in fact—Russia’s current economic crisis cannot be willed into recovery, and the economy is set to break through one false bottom after another.

What is less obvious for many Russia-watchers is that the military strength demonstrated so pompously on the Red Square during the May 9 Victory Day parade is also in decline. In Ukraine, the lack of any meaningful political or strategic Russian goals erodes the morale of the troops who are clandestinely deployed there. Nervous about the domestic political consequences of growing casualties, Putin has classified information about warzone deaths as a state secret. The costs of the war are mounting, and over-spending in the Armaments 2020 priority procurement program is yet another item in the list of embarrassing fiscal setbacks. It is clear to serious Russian economists that military expenditures have been out of control for the last four quarters at least. Such spending cannot be sustained indefinitely, and deep cuts in the defense budget are certain this year.

Second, Alakshashenko’s description of Russian intimidation of its neighbors misses that many of Russia’s neighbors do not find it fearsome. While Georgia sees the need to tread carefully and avoid confrontation (even when signing an association agreement with the EU), Estonia and Latvia have turned their exposure to Russian pressure into a strategic advantage, requesting and receiving substantial support from NATO. Moscow continues its military provocations in the Baltic theater, but it realizes that the military balance there is ultimately not in its favor. In the Arctic, Finland has joined the international Arctic Challenge 2015 exercise, which makes use of the Rovaniemi air base; Finland is apparently unperturbed by the fact that Russia’s newly-formed Arctic brigade is deployed just 30 miles across the border from this city.

It is prudent of NATO to be vigilant along its northern flank, but Russia has little or no capacity for simultaneously waging two “hybrid wars.” Back in 1940, Stalin amassed some 600,000 troops for the swift occupation of three defenseless Baltic states; now, Putin can deploy only about 50,000 troops for the (very probable) upcoming offensive in Donbass.

Finally, even the strengths that Russia genuinely possesses do not necessarily strengthen President Vladimir Putin’s grasp on power. The example of Russian gas exports to Europe is a case in point. As Aleksashenko rightly points out, Russia has leverage in some ways. Russian gas exports to Europe, for instance, are essential for the economies of both, whatever proposals for alternative “green” sources the EU energy strategy entertains. This is a main source of Russia’s economic and political strength. (Though, even here, the opportunities for converting these exports into an instrument of security policy are curtailed by the joint stance of the consumers led by Germany.)

Putin’s dominance over Russian politics used to be based on redistributing the ever-expanding petro-revenues that resulted from this Russian strength among greedy stakeholders, while also ensuring some trickle-down. However, as energy prices fell and the economy tanked, he had to re-invent himself as a war leader. The triumphant Anschluss of Crimea accomplished this trick. But his sky-high popularity is fragile, requiring a massive propaganda campaign as well as new victories. Putin feels empowered by the wave of public support, but he cannot allow his artificially boosted approval ratings to start declining. He is the only decider and the only possessor of all state secrets. But managing a war, even a “hybrid” one, requires a team of able and loyal lieutenants. Putin knows uncomfortable truths about the Kremlin, rife with petty quarrels and ill-begotten fortunes, and knows there are limits to its trustworthiness. His supreme authority is, therefore, far more vulnerable than it appears. He is perfectly aware of the ugly end of quite a few fellow autocrats, who had looked so secure in their palaces, until they were not.

Putin’s Dilemma

Putin is caught in a classic trap: Russia’s military advantage is fading and certain to decrease further. He needs to exploit that advantage sooner rather later. Putin likely views the pause in the Ukraine conflict as a losing proposition, and the big guns that have resumed cannonade recently in the suburbs of Donetsk very probably spell the end of the Minsk ceasefire. Russia, having boldly skipped the phase of melancholic stagnation (zastoi), is now witnessing a rapid deterioration. Its leaders are in desperate need of a new victory to sustain public support. One thing Sergey Aleksashenko has right is that the West cannot accept the status-quo in war-torn Ukraine, cannot expect the current pause to last—and should work on non-traditional responses to Putin’s aggressive revisionism.

But such responses are more than U.S. State Secretary John Kerry was apparently able to muster during his four-hour meeting with Putin in Sochi last month. The length of that monologue (Kerry hardly had anything to say) is a good measure of Putin’s anxiety. He needs to make a decision on Ukraine before the logic of Russian weakness asserts itself. In the end, Putin is not a natural crisis manager or risk-taker and he can be deterred if the West asserts its strength.

Two deputy commanders of a battalion in the Luhansk People’s Republic were arrested for wreaking havoc “within their territory,” and are accused of abusing peaceful civilians, taking fighters from other units as prisoners, killing their supposed brothers-in-arms who did not condone their lawlessness, or simply to loot their belongings. One fighter miraculously survived after he was shot in the head by commanders, another was shot four times and then buried alive but managed to climb out of his grave.

Marina shows me a message from her former commander via Skype. The girl is in a panic: the commander is threatening to “obliterate” her together with her husband Evgeny and their little boy. Marina is now in Russia, but even though she is away from LNR, she is rightfully afraid. According to her, the battalion commander is a certifiable maniac, and he has many Russian subordinates who can go anywhere in Russia to find her. There is plenty for which he could seek revenge. The fighters who escaped are prepared to tell the whole truth about the armed unit that controlled the entire city in the LNR, murdering and burying anyone who they found undesirable.

Our battalion is called “Bryanka USSR” and it’s located in the city of Bryanka. The battalion has about 400 people. My husband Zhenya (call sign “Arbat”) was the deputy battalion commander for logistics. People came to him for everything. From businessmen to deputies and the mayor; whoever wanted to get anything done in the city came to see him.

I’m just Arbat’s [Zhenya’s] wife,[Zhenya’s]n so easily go in the cellar, what can I say about the commanders.

— How many prisoners are there on the base?
— From one to 30 or 50.
— What did they do with them?
— Most of them are killed, slaughtered, raped like girls, abused, shot, tortured. If someone pays money for them, like their parents or relatives, they’re released unharmed. They just get a beating on the back with a shovel.
— Men raped other men? Can this really attract someone?
— How can I explain this to you? The battalion accepted anyone, many were mentally unstable.
— What sorts of torture?
— Well, for example, let’s see what happens if we cut off your penis.
— Did they actually cut off penises?
— They really sawed people up with a power saw.
— All 400 battalion fighters were like this?
— There were many normal guys too. But you couldn’t just leave the base. You could only go “through Odesa” as they say, meaning, you wouldn’t come out alive.

P.S. The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Luhansk People’s Republic confirmed that a special operation is ongoing and a criminal investigation is under way in connection with the armed group “Bryanka USSR.” However the head of investigations declined to comment. Meanwhile URA.Ru has been able to establish independently that two deputy commanders have been arrested – “Krym” and Senya “Vostok.” But the Battalion Commander, Dmitry “Lyuty” Pendyurin remains at large.

Putin’s rise to the presidency was rapid and unexpected. In March 1999 a distinguished group of scholars assembled in Washington DC to discuss the likely candidates for the June 2000 presidential election. The name Vladimir Putin was not mentioned – not even among the dozen or so possible outsider candidates.

Vladimir Putin's meteoric rise from relative obscurity to the Russian presidency in the course of a few short months of 1999 has been attributed to his intimacy with the "Family" as a protege of Berezovsky and Yumashev. By the end of 1999 the Family had persuaded Yeltsin to name Putin his political successor and candidate for the presidency.

Berezovsky's acquaintance with Putin dated back to the early 1990s, when the latter, as Deputy Mayor of St. Petersburg, helped Logovaz establish a car dealership. They enjoyed friendly relations; on occasion, Berezovsky took Putin skiing with him in Switzerland.

In February 1999, when Berezovsky's political standing looked uncertain because of his clash with Primakov over Aeroflot, Putin, then Director of the FSB, made a bold gesture of friendship by showing up at a birthday party for Berezovsky's wife. "I absolutely do not care what Primakov thinks of me", Putin told Berezovsky on that night. That was the beginning of their political alliance. According to the Times, Spanish police discovered that on up to five different occasions in 1999 Putin had secretly visited a villa in Spain belonging to Berezovsky.

In mid-July 1999 the Family dispatched Berezovsky to Biarritz, where Putin was vacationing, to persuade him to accept the position of prime minister and the role of heir apparent. On 9 August Yeltsin sacked the government of Sergei Stepashin and appointed Putin prime minister.

The December 1999 Duma election, and not the March 2000 presidential poll, was the key electoral event in Putin’s rise. In the course of the year a powerful movement had emerged among regional leaders anxious to consolidate the autonomy they had won during the Yeltsin years.

The initiator was Moscow Mayor Yurii Luzhkov, who formed his Otechestvo (Fatherland) movement in December 1998, which claimed to be running against the oligarchs who dominated the federal government. However, most governors remained wary of a movement led by the mayor of the rich and privileged city of Moscow. In April 1999 Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and St.Petersburg Governor Vladimir Yakovlev created a rival movement, Vsya Rossiya (All Russia). In August Luzhkov joined them to form the Fatherland/All Russia alliance (OVR), under the leadership of ousted premier Primakov.

OVR was a serious threat to Yeltsin, and the dismissal of Prime Minister Stepashin in August was in part due to his failure to prevent its emergence. Victory in the Duma election could propel Luzhkov or Primakov into the presidency in June 2000.

Perhaps Berezovsky's most serious impact on the election was the creation of the the new faction supporting Putin, the Unity party, which won the largest share of seats in the Duma with a campaign in which it put forth no serious platform or policy positions.

In 1999 – 2000, mr. Berezovsky had full controll over the main state television channel, ORT, which during these years has played a decisive role in promoting Mr Putin and his Unity party, destroying his rivals Yuriy Luzhkov and Evgeniy Primakov for the Russian presidency.

The most brutal propaganda came in the “author’s programs’ of Mikhail Leont’ev and Sergei Dorenko. ORT newscasts devoted 28% of time to Unity, twice as much as to OVR, and the former coverage was positive while the latter was mostly negative. On the other hand Vladimir Gusinsky’s NTV and Luzhkov-controlled TV-Tsentr backed.

The news and slander programs on the Berezovsky-controlled ORT television station launched a devastating propaganda blitz against Primakov and Luzhkov. Luzhkov was accused of everything from running a private army to sheltering the Japanese terrorist sect Aum Shinrikyo. (Some of thecharges were even true.) Unity’s philosophy was simple: support for Prime Minister Putin, who was leading the fight against the Chechen “bandits.” The official leader of Unity was the ambitious young Minister for Emergency Situations, Sergei Shoigu, who explained “Many people call us Putin’s party.

Well, it’s true.” Putin, as premier and then acting president, was closely associated with Unity, although he only formally endorsed it in November. It is difficult to explain Unity’s success: it had no program to speak of, its leaders were not well-known. Its association with the increasingly-popular Putin seems to have been the decisive factor.

As Putin’s rating rose the Yeltsin camp became increasingly confident that they had found the ideal successor. Yeltsin’s decision to step down and appoint Putin “acting president’, but more importantly, it boosted Putin’s chances of winning the election. Putin would have the crucial advantage of incumbency: the ability to use the presidential office to mobilize support and cultivate an image of leadership. It seemed that Putin’s popularity had already reached its peak and would erode over time – especially if Russian forces were to suffer setbacks in Chechnya. Yeltsin’s resignation minimized this risk by bringing forward the election from June to the end of March, since the constitution decrees that elections must be held within three months of a presidential resignation.

Although Putin himself seemed to come from nowhere, there was one aspect of his rise that was predictable: the institutional mechanics of his elevation. Yeltsin created a political system that was held together through patronage, and in which political succession hinged was the prerogative of the incumbent leader. There were two other striking regularities of political succession under Yeltsin: the use of the post of prime minister as a sounding-board for potential successors, and increasing reliance on the security organs as a source of candidates. (Three of the four prime ministers appointed in the last 18 months of Yeltsin’s rule came from the security apparatus).

Yeltsin had very practical reasons for being concerned about the identity of his successor. In the winner-take-all world of Russian politics, there were no guarantees that a future Russian president (under pressure from the Duma, for example) would not seek to strip Yeltsin of his government-provided villas, medical services, and other privileges, and even sanction his criminal prosecution. The same held true for the members of Yeltsin’s circle: his daughter and “image consultant” Tatyana Dyachenko, his other daughter’s husband Valerii Okulov, an Aeroflot executive, and the rest of his entourage known as “the Family.” Again, however, it is important to remember that Russia is not unique in facing this problem of indemnifying corrupt or repressive leaders as an unpleasant precondition for removing them from office. It is a feature of democratic transitions from Indonesia to Chile. (Yeltsin’s case differs slightly, in that he is a transitional figure, intermediate between the old regime and a democratic future.)

Putin, the ever-loyal apparatchik, was trusted to meet this criterion for office. The day after Yeltsin’s surprising resignation on 31 December, Putin as “acting president” signed a decree granting Yeltsin and his immediate family immunity from prosecution. (The same day he also made a well-publicized trip to Chechnya.)

In a 20-minute televised interview Tuesday, Putin gave the first detailed description of the sequence of events leading up to Yeltsin's unexpected announcement Friday that he was stepping down. Putin acknowledged that Yeltsin's surprise move gave him a substantial advantage in the presidential campaign before a special election tentatively set for March. Yeltsin, he said, was primarily motivated by his desire to continue controlling Russia's destiny after leaving office.

Russia’s economy may not have much to boast of these days, but it has produced one of the world’s largest crops of billionaires. Only the U.S., Germany and Japan have more. Considering the modest size of the Russian economy these days, Russia may well have the highest billionaire-to-GDP ratio in the world.

How can this be, in a nation that until recently has been on the decline?

Russia’s flawed transition from communism to a market economy in the 1990s was one of the most mishandled reforms in history. The country’s GDP declined by 41%, vast swaths of the economy were simply wiped out and the majority of the population was plunged into poverty. In the midst of this chaos a small group of insiders (nick-named the “oligarchs”) figured out how to buy the bulk of the country’s natural resources from the state at nominal prices.
The 1990s asset grab did not make the oligarchs instant billionaires-only potential ones. Potential wealth has been transformed into real wealth only in the last several years, when many of the oligarchs forswore their old pirate-capitalist ways and began paying attention to building shareholder value.

The Panama Papers leak contained more than 11.5 million documents from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, which revealed widespread tax avoidance.

More information was expected to be publicly released in the coming days, which Professor Henry said is a good opportunity for further analysis.
"So far it's been used by the ICIJ consortium of, you know, about 370 journalist have had access just to the data for a year ago or so; now it's going to be opened up," he said.

"And I think that will be very valuable because there's a lot of new kind of analysis to be done.

"As good as the journalists are, you know, they're just not as familiar with all of the intricacies is the 214,000 companies that were involved here."
Professor Henry has called for an international commission to investigate global tax avoidance and capital flight.

"If one Panamanian law firm with just 500 employers, $42 million of revenue can produce this kind of information, you know, think of what revelations about many of the other players in the world including some of the top banks would show."

More than $12tn (£8tn) has been siphoned out of Russia, China and other emerging economies into the secretive world of offshore finance, new research has revealed, as David Cameron prepares to host world leaders for an anti-corruption summit.

A detailed 18-month research project has uncovered a sharp increase in the capital flowing offshore from developing countries, in particular Russia and China.

The analysis, carried out by Columbia University professor James S Henry for theTax Justice Network, shows that by the end of 2014, $1.3tn of assets from Russia were sitting offshore. The figures, which came from compiling and cross-checking data from global institutions including the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations, follow the Panama Papers revelations of global, systemic tax avoidance.

Chinese citizens have $1.2trln stashed away in tax havens, once estimates for Hong Kong and Macau are included. Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia – all of which have seen high-profile corruption scandals in recent years – also come high on the list of the worst-affected countries.

Henry, a former chief economist at consultancy McKinsey, told the Guardian his research underlined the fact that tax-dodging was not the only motivation for using tax havens – criminals and kleptocrats also made prolific use of their services to keep their wealth secret and their money safe.
