That should come as great news to the international child pornography networks, given that the United States is their number-one market. According to investigative author Gordon Thomas, the majority of child pornography produced worldwide is targeted at the U.S., where by the early 1990s it was already a $3 billion a year business, and growing.

Thomas claims that - according to law enforcement figures - over 22 million copies of child pornography videos were sold or rented in the U.S. in 1991. He also writes that much of that pornographic material is produced here, where it is “part of the largest segment of movie making in the United States.” Jan Hollingsworth concurs with that figure, describing child pornography as: “A three-billion-dollar - per year - U.S. industry that grossed twice that worldwide. It [is] bigger than Disney. Much bigger.”

Speaking of Disney, Thomas notes that child porn videos are frequently trafficked internationally by deceptively packaging them as Disney videos. Strangely enough, the first man to benefit from the circuit court decision was Patrick J. Naughton. You may remember him as the executive with the Walt Disney Co. who ran one of the company's kid-friendly web sites. Naughton was arrested and later tried on child pornography charges.

On Sept. 14, 1999, Naughton flew from Seattle to Los Angeles on a private Disney jet. Expecting a five-foot, blonde haired 13-year-old girl to wait on the pier near the roller coaster, carrying a green backpack as instructed by Naughton. Naughton had written to her about love and sex and that he "wanted to get [her] alone in his hotel room and have [her] strip naked for him". Naughton had arranged this meeting, posing as "Hot Seattle", his online predator handle in an online chat room called "dad&daughtersex."

He was convicted on December 16, just one day before the decision was handed down in the case before the circuit court. Within hours of the appeals court ruling, Naughton was released by federal prosecutors on $100,000 bail. Despite the fact that he was, as the Times acknowledged, convicted of “possessing pictures of actual children,” the decision was made to release him “until the impact of the court's ruling can be sorted out,” illustrating the significant undermining of existing law that the court ruling portends.

After a trial ended in a hung jury, Naughton struck a plea agreement where he took a reduced sentence and admitted that he traveled from Seattle to Los Angeles last September with a "dominant purpose" to engage in sexual acts with "KrisLA", an online chat buddy he believed was a 13-year-old girl. He ended up serving no prison time, in exchange for working for the FBI for free for a year.

The question of the Walt Disney Company's Jewish executives willingness to employ sex offenders and pedophiles, whom Disney had known were convicted of horrendous sex crimes against children but were hired any way, again became known to the public this past month when the producers of an explosive documentary, An Open Secret, questioned Disney's hypocrisy in a scathing tweet that revealed that Disney, for the second time, again knowingly hired a convicted child molester to work on several of its kids TV shows.

We've pointed out the previous time when Disney knowingly allowed a convicted child rapist, Victor Salva, to go ahead and helm a major motion picture in 1995 under the Disney banner, Powder, but apparently this was not an isolated incident.

In October of 2004, actor Brian Richard Peck, now 54, was convicted of a lewd act against a child and oral copulation of a person under 16, to which he pled "no contest" and was sentenced to 16 months in prison.

Peck was originally charged with eleven counts of sexual abuse, including lewd act upon a child, sodomy of a person under 16, attempted sodomy of a person under 16, sexual penetration by foreign object, four counts of oral copulation of a person under 16, oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, sending harmful matter; and using a minor for sex acts.

The victim, named only as pseudonym John Doe in court records to protect his identity, was a 15-year-old Nickelodeon child star at the time whom Peck had been coaching as an acting coach at his home when the offenses occurred.

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd on Jun 16, 2020 detailed the arrests and charges of 17 suspects, including Disney and hospital employees, accused of downloading or distributing child pornography featuring children as young as a few months old.

“These folks are deviants,” Judd said.

The sheriff went on to detail a number of the arrests, most notably two Disney World employees, a nurse, an undocumented immigrant, a 49-year-old Winter Haven man, and an IT specialist Judd said liked to purchase and digest soiled underwear.

Deputies say the child pornography included thousands of photos and videos depicting babies, toddlers, and children being forced to engage in sex acts.

Among the notable arrests were two Walt Disney World employees. Judd said a search warrant was executed in Davenport, Florida at a home shared by 32-year-old Justin Hazan and 36-year-old Arlandres Sims. Hazan reportedly told detectives he works at Hollywood Studios as an operator on the Millenium Falcon ride. He reportedly admitted to downloading and possessing child pornography. He was charged with 15 counts.

Hazan’s roommate, Sims, also works at Disney as a food runner at the Animal Kingdom Resort. He was also arrested and charged with 25 counts of child pornography.

“When we went to the house, we went after Arlandres Sims,” Judd said. “We also found out that his roommate from Disney, Justin Hazan, also was looking at child porn. [Detectives] didn’t know that. So during the investigation, our detectives found it kind of humorous. Arlandres actually said, ‘You’re doing it too?'”

Another Davenport man, a registered nurse at Osceola Regional Medical Center, was arrested and charged with five counts of child pornography. Judd said 38-year-old Edgardo Cancela was reported for suspicious actions on Facebook. Judd said Cancela lives at home with his wife and two children, ages 10 and 13.
